Intelligence begins in the field.

Meet the foundation of TerrAI: distributed sensing technology designed to reveal what is happening beneath the surface.

TerrAI Soil

Information becomes intelligence.

TerrAI Intelligence is being built to bring field measurements, weather and agricultural science together, so growers can understand conditions and make more informed decisions.

  1. Measurements
  2. Analysis
  3. Recommendations

Readings and recommendation shown are conceptual illustrations.

From understanding to action.

TerrAI is developing control integrations that connect agricultural recommendations with irrigation infrastructure.

  1. Recommend
  2. Control
  3. Verify

Then the probe is meant to read the soil again, so that reading feeds the next decision. Sense, think, act, learn.

TerrAI Control is in development. The irrigation event shown is a conceptual illustration.

The TerrAI ecosystem

Three parts designed to work as one. All three are in development.

Beyond irrigation

Water is where TerrAI starts. Over time, the same loop aims to help growers understand more of what drives a healthy crop. These are research directions, not current capabilities.

Nutrition
Exploring how field data, lab soil tests and crop stage could estimate nutrient needs. Soil pH would be one input; it does not measure individual nutrients.
Plant stress
Studying whether soil and weather data together can show water stress before it appears in the canopy.
Disease and pest risk
Investigating how many sources combined could flag conditions that favor disease and pests. The probe alone cannot detect them.

Research and development

We start from measurement. We want every recommendation to trace back to readings taken in the soil, combined with weather, soil surveys and agronomic science rather than guesswork.

We design for the field as it is. Our goal is for decisions to run on the device itself, so they can keep working without an internet connection and fall back to simple, safe rules when the model is unavailable.

We validate before we claim. Outcomes such as water savings, yields and costs are goals until field results confirm them, and we will say so plainly.

About TerrAI

TerrAI is building a system designed to grow crops on its own: sensing what the field needs, deciding what to do, and acting on it. We are starting with irrigated growers in the western United States, where water is the limiting resource.

A farm that runs with no one watching is also what a farm in orbit or on another planet would need. Earth’s fields are the proving ground; space is where the work is aimed, not something TerrAI does today.

Understand the field. Improve every decision.
